In this exhibition, together with talented brain scientists from Aarhus University, we present a different way of looking at the brain. We have transformed neurons, synapses and the brain's smallest building blocks into art.

What is beauty, and why does it move us? What happens in the brain when we look at a painting, hear music, or watch a dancer move?

In this talk, I explain the neuroscience of beauty and art. We’ll explore how the brain responds to symmetry, color, pattern, and emotion. What does it mean when something “feels right” or “takes our breath away”? And is beauty simply in the eye of the beholder—or hardwired into our biology?

By looking at art through the lens of the brain, we begin to see not just what beauty is, but why it matters.

During the opening reception of the exhibition on “Art in the Brain” ("Kunst på hjernen") I talk about my inspiration sources and how art and science go hand in hand.

During April 17-19 I will be exhibiting and selling artwork in the heart of Aarhus (Ridehuset) together with many other wonderful artists at the WORKS Art Fair 2026.
